Writing from the Embers

My eyes are burning with exhaustion.
This isn’t one of those romantic, candlelit sleepless nights where inspiration dances at the edge of my fingertips, and I churn out three blog posts like some midnight poetess with a mission.
No. Not tonight.
Tonight, I am just tired - exhausted, even.
I’m not writing from a place of fire. I’m writing from the embers.

There’s a cup of coffee by my side, sure. But it’s not part of some aesthetic scene. It’s habit now.
Muscle memory. A ritual I follow because that’s what I do when sleep escapes me.
I sit.
I write.
I pour out whatever my soul hasn’t tucked away for the night.
I’m not even sure there’s any creativity left in the tank tonight.
Will this blog be worth reading?
Why am I even writing it?
Ah… that’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it?
Because writing has become the bridge between exhaustion and rest.
It’s what started this whole thing - this blog. It was never about metrics or admiration.
It was about survival.
It is about survival.
And tonight, even in this heavy, hazy moment, purpose is fulfilled.
It doesn’t matter if this post is shared, liked, or even finished.
What matters is that I showed up -
For myself.
For my tired mind.
For the parts of me that need a voice when the world is quiet.
So I write.
Because writing is my healing.
And tonight, it’s what’s keeping the darkness at bay.
