Finding My Focus

For years, I wandered through the wide world of photography, trying on every style like costumes in a never-ending dress rehearsal. I dabbled in weddings, newborns, families, sports, boudoir, portraits, events - you name it. I was the jack-of-all-shots, master of none. And in that constant pursuit of “finding my style,” I lost a bit of the soul behind the shutter. My creativity stumbled because I was chasing everything and capturing nothing that felt truly me.

Recently, I decided to build a website - something that could finally showcase my work and, hopefully, my voice as an artist. But I made a promise to myself: only the photos that genuinely represented my passion would make the cut. Not just technically “perfect” ones, but the images that made me feel something.

And as I curated, a quiet truth revealed itself: every photo I kept was either sports or portrait. Just those two. That was it.

And suddenly—it clicked. That’s my niche.

After all these years of searching, I’ve finally found the styles that speak loudest to me. It feels like both a relief and a revelation. Now, I get to focus, study, practice, and truly master these two forms. I don’t have to be everything. I just have to be me.

This is the beginning of something more refined, more intentional, and more honest.

I can’t wait to see where it leads.
