An Open Letter to the Girl Who Can’t Sleep

Hey, you...

Yes, you - the one staring at the computer screen, trying to come up with your next blog topic while playing tug-of-war with the keyboard and your thoughts.

I know this hour well. It lives somewhere between yesterday’s exhaustion and tomorrow’s expectation, where your body begs for rest, but your brain insists there’s still more to be done.

You’ve replayed conversations.

You’ve relived mistakes.

You’ve worried about things that only exist in the “what-ifs.”

You’ve made imaginary grocery lists and solved problems that haven’t even happened yet.

But here’s what I need you to know -

You are not broken because you can’t rest.

You are not lazy tomorrow just because your mind and body needed to pause.

You are doing your best - even when the world is asleep and peace feels like it’s ghosting you.

You’ve survived every sleepless night so far, have you not?

That’s a track record worth honoring.

Where rest runs late and thoughts run wild — this is where the midnight letters begin

So let the coffee brew.

Let the words flow.

Let the stillness teach you something.

Write it down.

Cry if that helps.

Laugh at some ridiculous story you come up with - you do have a knack for comedic flair.

Be alive, even in the quiet.

And when sleep finally finds you,

I hope it knows how hard you’ve tried to meet it.

With love,

The version of you who makes it through the morning -

time and time again.
